This is the AMT/Ertl Quark kit vinyl kit that was put a few years ago. The second round of Trek kits from Ertl were much better than the first. Quark, Spock, and Odo are all good kits with decent likenesses. They can also be picked up for very little money, making them excellant entry level vinyl kits.
The assembly was pretty straight forward. The only area that need filling was where the arms meet the torso. It took quite a bit of filling and sanding to fix that seam. It however was the only one.
The entire model was painted by brush using ceramcoat, and apple barrel paints. The shirt he is wearing was painted from an actual photograph in an old issue of TV Guide. This was one of my first attempts at painting eyes. Not too bad, but he does have a slight "wall eye".
The glass was filled with 5 minute epoxy, tinted with some paint, to simulate some exotic drink.
All in all, a very easy kit to assemble and paint.
